Dance Information
All students must wear proper dance attire with long hair up for dance classes. Students in street clothing and loose hair will be asked to sit out of their class. If it happens again, the parents/guardians will receive a text to pick up their child.
Dance Attire Dress Code
Colours
Kinderdance & Junior Level- Light Pink
Pre- Intermediate Level - Lavender
Intermediate Level- Marine Blue
Teen Level - Black
All levels can wear bodysuits or tank tops No baggy sweaters except for warmups. For bottoms, they can wear skirts, leggings, or dance shorts. These can be the same colour as their level or black. No baggy sweatpants.
They are to wear this to ALL their classes and/or privates.
Tights Colours
Ballet-ballet pink,
Kinderdance -ballet pink
Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary -Tan
Shoe Colours
Kinderdance, Ballet - pink or for boys black
Jazz - Black jazz shoes or if their costume isn't all black I will be asking you to purchase tan jazz shoe
Tap- Black tap shoes
Hip-Hop - Black high top sneakers
Contemporary- beige half sole shoes
A student must be the age of their level by December 31st of that year in order to go into that level. If they are beyond their years, their instructor may put them in a higher age level class. They need to start in their own level and then their teacher can decide on what to do after the first 4-6 weeks at the beginning of the season.
Cups WILL NOT be supplied so please make sure your dancer has a water bottle.
Dance fees are due before the last day of the month, late payment will result in additional fee of $20/day it is late.
The monthly fee is not affected by severe weather events, holidays, vacations, bus cancellations, injury or flu/cold sickness. If a class is canceled by Miss Katie or her staff for sickness that class will be made up. Refunds are not available. Parents please put in your reminders to pay all dance fees each month by the 30th. Please also check the website or put down the correct amount for fees.
Classes may be canceled for severe weather events at Miss Katie’s discretion on bus cancelation days. Safety of students and parents are a top priority.
Recital and competition costumes are non-refundable and must be paid in advance of ordering.
Any alterations or repairs required are the sole responsibility of the parents or guardians. If any costume is too small it may be returned if the larger size is available at the sole cost of the parent or guardian. When ordering costumes, some may not fit as every body is different and they make the costumes from one pattern for each size. Costume fees and measurements are DUE by Saturday October 31st, 2026
All problems and issues are to be discussed with Miss Katie. Complaints given to student helpers or adolescent staff are not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
Sickness Policy
If your child has stayed home from school due to being ill, please keep them home from dance as well.
